NEC OEM
The NEC version of Windows 3.1 is different from Microsoft's in the extent of printer drivers, utilities and manuals. Such customization is not only done by NEC but also by other manufacturers like Fujitsu for FM Towns and IBM Japan for PS/55.

Microsoft (Japan branch) began selling own retail versions of Windows for PC-98 and PC/AT compatibles (DOS/V) with Windows 3.1 in 1993. The list excludes upgrade/OEM versions. Japanese versions of Windows 3.11 and Windows for Workgroups were skipped because the next generation of Windows was considered to be appeared in 1994.

Epson
I have little documentation on Epson's PC98 compatible machines. Epson released own OEM versions of Windows 3.0, 3.1 and 95. The last version for EPSON PC was Windows 95, but it was sold only via direct-sales.
