Keyboard Usage [NEC PC98]
Layout
The keyboard layout of PC-98 is based on the Japan Industrial Standard. This is a bit-paired layout derived from typewriters, and has some different symbol key assignments from the US layout.
The bottom letter of the keycap is input when the kana lock is enabled. The right letter is input when the kana lock is enabled and the shift key is hold.
Key
カナ (kana), NFER and XFER keys are used by the Japanese input method.
